How To Use Tarot Cards to Manifest What You Want

Have you ever wanted something, but it hasn't happened yet? Maybe you've been thinking about a job or relationship that would be perfect for you, or maybe you're just not sure what will make your life feel complete. You're not alone — many people find themselves in this situation at one point or another. Luckily for us all, tarot cards can help us with this problem and get our dreams into reality! To use tarot for manifesting your dreams, follow these steps:

Get clear about what you want to manifest.

Get clear about what you want to manifest.

It's important to know what you want before putting a spell together, because if you're unclear or vague in your intent, it may not work as well.

Be specific.

Setting a goal can be challenging, but it's important that you are as specific as possible when doing so — this will help focus your energy and maximize the effectiveness of your spell.

Set a goal.

When setting goals for yourself and others, consider their needs and desires first — make sure they align with the person's overall well-being rather than focusing on material things such as wealth or fame (though these things can certainly still be included). There are many examples of things people could want: love; health; happiness; spiritual growth; success at work or school; peace in relationships with friends or family members; financial stability/security (which might include debt relief); etc...

Choose a spread or a specific position to represent each of the following:

Choose a spread or a specific position to represent each of the following:
  • The manifestation you want to occur
  • You, the person seeking and asking for the manifestation to occur
  • Your current energy surrounding your intention
  • What you are doing to help this manifestation happen (or not doing.)

Place your cards in their respective positions with each card representing an aspect of your manifestation journey. You can turn over one card at a time or shuffle the deck, take out one card at random, lay them down face up on the table, and read them from left to right as you move through each phase.

The manifestation you want to occur.

You'll also want to be specific about the manifestation you want to occur. For example, if your goal is to manifest $100,000 in income this year, specify exactly how much money you'd like to make: $50k per quarter or an annual total of $200k? You may even wish to break it down even further by saying something like, "I'm going to make $45k this quarter and then $55k next."

It's important that you spend some time thinking about what the best result would look like so that when the Universe delivers exactly what you've asked for — and more — it doesn't leave you feeling disappointed. If a client asks me how many sales calls she should make each day and I reply "as many as possible," that gives her little guidance as far as setting expectations for herself. But if I tell her she should make 30 calls per day because those 30 calls will bring in more than enough sales leads for her business each month, then she has something concrete against which she can judge her own performance!

You, the person seeking and asking for the manifestation to occur.

While there are many ways to use tarot cards for manifesting, I like this method because it allows you to create a unique and personalized deck that suits your needs. You can even create a custom deck for each intention you want to manifest!

The first thing you'll need is a deck of Tarot cards — I recommend Rider-Waite or Universal Waite decks if you're new to reading them (you can get them at any bookshop). Then decide which card represents yourself. This means looking at all of your qualities, personality traits, and life circumstances before choosing one card out of 78 possibilities that best represents how you feel right now on an emotional level rather than just who you really are in all aspects of life. Sometimes this will be easy (like if someone recently told me "You're so kind!"), other times it might require some soul searching ("I am kind but also impatient.").

Once we've chosen our "persona" in this way using our intuition/gut instinct we now know what sort of energy/feeling we would like ourselves when working with our intentions so let's move onto selecting which goal/intention we wish to manifest through these 78 cards!

Your current energy surrounding your intention.

When you are using tarot cards, it can be helpful to understand how your current energy is affecting your intentions. You may need to recalibrate or create a ritual around your intention. Tarot cards can also help change your perspective on a situation that seems like a setback in the bigger picture.

What you are doing to help this manifestation happen (or not doing.)

You can use tarot cards to work with your subconscious to manifest what you want in life. You can do this by taking an active role in helping the manifestation happen, or not happen.

You will need a deck of tarot cards, preferably one that is full of vibrant images. They don't have to be expensive - often decks can be found at yard sales and flea markets for very little money.

To start, choose a spread or position for each of these: The manifestation you want to occur; your current state of being (the way things are now); and the future outcome if all goes well according to plan (your ideal outcome.)

Your outcome.

What do you want to happen?

What actions are you going to take to make it happen?

How will you know when your goal has been reached, and what will you do then if necessary?

If the outcome doesn't go as planned, how will this change your plan of action moving forward?

Look back to your initial intentions to help decipher this. In order to take a step forward, you need to see the path in front of you. Your path may change along the way, as new information comes to light, but having an initial direction to point yourself in is crucial.

If you don't have a goal, how will you know what to do first? If you don't know where you're going, how will your actions help get you there? If you don't set goals for yourself, who else is going to do it for you?

Using tarot cards to help you manifest your dreams can be a fun way to get clarity on what it is you want. It can also provide some much-needed inspiration during those moments when things seem hopeless or you're feeling stuck. Here are some tips on how to use tarot cards for manifestation:

Get clear about what it is that you want. This will be the most important step in using tarot cards for manifestation, because without knowing what it is that you want, how do you know if and when your wish has come true? Try journalling about this until something feels right about the words being written down, or reflect on past experiences of having gotten exactly what was wanted—what were those feelings like? They'll serve as useful reminders throughout the process of manifesting new goals!

Choose a spread or specific position for each card in order represent each phase of your desired outcome: starting with "here" (wherever "here" may be), moving through various phases until arriving at "there", which represents where we ultimately end up once our intention comes true (or rather — thankfully — not ending up at all!).
